Fall Out Boy Tour

by admin on February 9, 2009

I always impressed when non mainstream alternative rock band come over from the states to try there hand in the UK and good luck to them I say.

They are from Chicago and have had some success to date with a short career starting in 2001 and having already been Grammy nominated.

Personally I do not know too much about the band but some of you may recognise the video below or maybe you remember the one with the monkeys (the primates not the band!)

The will be proforming at the MEN Arena on Thursday 5th March and tickets are available from here

I went to the concert in 2007, so was very excited (as was my niece) to go again in Feb 2009.

And they didn’t disappoint!

Following support acts Hey Monday (which Pete joined for a song) & the All American Rejects (both great), FOB came out to spikes of flames behind them. Although not all songs from Folie a Deux were played, there was a great mixture of old school FOB and the new scene songs. I personally loved the fact they played “Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner” – my all-time fave! Also loved the intro by Pete for “Disloyal Order”, and the start of that song with 2 large bass drums on either side of Andy. Of course, the crowd erupted as FOB’s then current song “America’s Suitehearts” began.

End also spectacular, with fireworks falling down the back of the stage, and, of course, Pete getting into the crowd

Can’t wait for the next one!

I went to a Fall Out Boy concert in October of 2007 for my 13 birthday. I had brought my best friend along, we were both very stoked for it. It was our first concert together. There was so many people there and we had got lost, but we found our way and ran down to the front row.(We had AWESOME seats!) We were both screaming whenvever PWTee’s came on. That was my friends favorite band. Then CIWWAF came on, Me and my friend got pushed to the back. Then after we moved back up, GCH came on. I was so excited b/c FOB was my favorite band and I came to see them. When GCH preformed”Cloths Off” and Patrick came out I felt my heart start beating really fast. I couldn’t believe I was actually going to see FOB!! Then we they finally came out I screamed my head off.!! It was really a dream come true, me and my friends got a lot of pictures, whenever they preformed”Saturday” and Pete gets into the crowd, he was right next to me.!! Me and my friend got to hold both his hands to support him. : ) We were very lucky girls. Well, that’s my story.!
