The Wiggles are Australia’s most popular children’s entertainers, and if you are under 10 you will of course know them!

Joining the team will be be their friends Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus, singing and dancing along to Wiggles favourites such as ‘Hot Potato’ and ‘Rock A Bye Your Bear’. For 17 years they have been entertaining young audiences and as a result have sold more than 22.5 million videos/DVDs and 7 million CDs worldwide, just to give some idea of their impact and uniquely have been twice named Australia’s Export of the Year, a little like Abba I suppose!

This is something I must see, well it really is because Geology was my best subject back at school, I still regret not going to university to complete my passion, but hey we all don’t get to do everything we want in life.

So at least I can watch what I am sure will be quite some fantastic production with superb special effects if the BBC programme is anything to go by and I will certainly be taking my kids.

When it comes to Christmas, what would it be without a good pantomime! The kids I am sure will love this with the Chuckle Brothers performing their version of the “Christmas Carol”

For me the Christmas Carol has to be the all time Christmas story, for me you can never beat Alistair Sim. Opps I am of on a tangent so if you want your kids entertained for a couple of hours at Christmas then you will not go far wrong with this performance.

The show is on the 3rd of December at the Manchester Palace Theatre and expect this to be sold out the closer we get to Xmas.

The Big Friendly Giant from the world’s favourite children’s author, Roald Dahl has enchanted young minds over more than twenty five years with stories that still fire the imagination, bring dreams to life and release squeals of both terror and delight.

The BFG is classic Dahl and this brand new stage show promises to mix up heart-pounding adventures with life-long friendships, jumbly words and even some whizzpopping in front of the Queen! When little orphan Sophie is snatched out of her bed in the dead of night by the BFG she fears the worst, but unlike his grisly neighbours the Bloodbottler and the Fleshlumpeater who like nothing more than swalloping human beans, especially nice little childers, the Big Friendly Giant is a dream maker and not a man-eater.

I do not know too much about this production except for the comments from the Palace Theatre´s own web site;

The show will feature exceptionally talented youngsters aged between 4-20 years performing dance, drama & musical arrangements from hit musicals inc. High School Musical, The Wiz, The King and I, Westside Story,  Grease, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Bugsy Malone and many more…

The show promises to be enthusiastic and enjoyable for people of all ages with special guest appearances.

Still I did manage to find a clip from Youtube just to get a feel. Still with a mix of the songs as above you can be sure the kids will be entertained for the whole night.

Is there a more appropriate production for Manchester than Singing in the rain, I think not!

Don Lockwood is played by Tim Flavin who has been outstanding in many roles including Kiss me Kate 42nd Street and many others.

I do not think I need to say too much about Mary Poppins, I mean who doesn’t know the story or the songs. So after 1000 conformances in London it is about time it reached our fair city.

The show will be at the Palace Theatre in Manchester from Thursday the 11th December to the 7th March and I am sure it will be Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Well this one is certainly for the family and my daughter to be specific, she cannot seem to get enough of them. Still you can be sure that your kids will be entertained with this show at the MEN Arena and with plenty choices of dates the 5th 6th 7th and 8th of February.

I remember taking my eldest daughter to see Snow White on Ice, I have to admit it was very entertaining for everyone.
