Deep Purple one of Britain’s most successful rock bands responsible for that magical rock ballad smoke on the water

They were amazing formed in 1968, and are certainly one of Britain’s most successful rock bands. They have been through numerous personnel changes, but have maintained a consistent level of success, with hit singles such as Hush, Black Night and the worldwide smash Smoke on the Water. Still touring and recording, the current line up of Steve Morse, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Don Airey and Ian Paice can still rock with the best of them.

So fortunately we can see this epic band preforming at the Manchester Apollo Tuesday 10th November 2009 – 7.30pm and tickets are available form here.

In those days I believe we were very lucky to have such a choice of quality music if you ask me.

Still in amongst all my, generally new romantic records of that period, the only heavy rock single I have, just happens to be “Rock and Roll Ain´t Noise Pollution”

Mind you who doesn’t know “Highway to Hell”, probably their most well known.
